Because a home is the largest investment that most Americans will ever make, the NAHB created the Certified Graduate Remodelor (CGR) professional designation program. This programs help you, the consumer, determine which remodelors you can count on to do a professional job.

Richard H. Johnson, owner of Augusta Remodeling and Construction, Inc., has been a Certified Graduate Remodelor since 1984. The CGR designation indicates that a remodelor has completed the requirements, which include educational, business standards and experience.

To maintain the CGR designation, all Certified Graduate Remodelors must complete continuing education requirements every three years, which include attending remodeling or business-related seminars, trade shows, and educational programs.
